When I decided to settle with my long-time gorgeous boyfriend, I made sure that I really love him and want to spend my whole life with him (not to mention the grey haired, wrinkled faced, and soggy muscled old man that he will become). We both have common interests like vintage cars, boutiques, camping, and photography. As a matter of fact I met him in a photo gallery where he offered me a ride in his 1953 Packard Caribbean.

Since then, we both fell in love with each other (read that as: got crazy about each other and got naughty, too). Because of our love (naughtiness), we produced 3 lovely kids. Apart from photos and cars, we both love camping. That's why we travel anywhere for camping every summer. It's good to have this family time together every once in a while to have a harmonious and happy family life.

Camping will be extremely great if you do it at least five islands away from your home. I know your kids would like a new environment this camping season so take them somewhere, or anywhere away from your usual campsite --- your backyard. If you're planning to have a month-long camping in Wyoming or visit the Great Canyon in Colorado, I recommend renting an RV. Contrary to the Runaway Vacation movie by Robin Williams, RV is actually a vehicle.
Monday, April 30. 2007
RV stands for recreational vehicle, contrary to your belief that the initials mean rolling van. RV is like a trailer van where people can temporarily live in while they are away from their apartments or mansions. RVs are actually created for leisure activities like vacations and camping trips. They offer the liberty of traveling anywhere your family wants to go (provided that it's on land), and at the same time have the feeling that you're still at the comforts of your own home.

These vehicles have bedrooms, kitchens, bathroom and toilet facilities, air conditioning and heat, as well as entertainment facilities. Rent only from a credible rental company and make sure you understand the contract before signing it. You must have a credit card or cash handy to pay for the deposit. Check the trailer or the truck camper first to make sure you'll get to your vacation spot safely. Try the RV now to experience the wonders of traveling with freedom.

My family was planning a summer camping trip to Wyoming, probably in the mountainous part of Wyoming. For some reason, I consulted the Internet about tips and pieces of advice for first-time campers. Yes, I must admit that this is my first time to spend a week at some far-flung area with my family. We usually go to the beach during summer. But we realized we've been polluting the beaches in Hawaii so much that we have to find other vacation spots.

"Are you ready?" asks the lovetheoutdoors web page happily, as though camping was a sort of a job interview, and all you need to do to survive five days out of the house is to answer nonsense questions. Much space is devoted to keeping the insects away. It said that we must make sure we pack for safety too because some insects are also camping. Wearing light-colored clothing is their best suggestion. I don't why. Perhaps it would attract more butterflies than mosquitoes.
Thursday, April 26. 2007
The site said that we should bring insect-repelling creams and lotions. Long pants and long sleeves are also necessary if we'll go hiking. Insect bites will not only give us scratches and blisters. Malaria, Lyme disease, dengue fever are the most common diseases acquired through bug bites. Another tip was to avoid sticking your hands in interesting holes to check what's inside -- it might be the last thing you want to know. Insects and bugs prowl campsites. I hope they've got tents too.

So everybody has done camping not only once or twice, but many times. Now, don't tell me you haven't or hate it. You moron! Which planet do you come from? Everyone loves to camp. I did love it as a kid. I still do. I camp with my family occasionally and we do have a great time together. If you have a child who dreams about camping, do him the big favor. I'm sure you can survive one night at your backyard without snakes crawling in.

Did you notice that most of family films include some camping scenes. Camping is one exciting family activity and movies simply can't have enough of it. Of course, they always show the usual things people do during camping, but people never grow tired of watching them. It's always heartwarming to see a family seated around a bonfire and having fun while roasting some hotdogs or mallows.

A few days ago, I watched Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Guess what? There was Steve Martin urging his kids to go camping. Yet his kids were reluctant at first. I guess, kids who have a dad like the character of Martin are not just lucky, but very lucky. I mean they shouldn't even hesitate. Camping with their dad will probably be the best time in their life.

I'm sure that most people really enjoy going to the outdoors. This is one of the things that really gets people out of the stressful pattern of their work. However, for most people, planning the trip that is supposed to take the stress off them, proves to be stress in itself.
Most of the time, people would pack in their things inside their cars. They would bring along every piece of new electronic gadget they could snuggle into the trunk of their vehicle. Let's not forget that the point of this trip is for people to relax! Video cameras would end up destroyed or crushed. Food containers would leak and ruin the carpet. These are just some of the many problems that people usually encounter during outdoor trips.
The key to remember is for you to bring just the things that you're going to need. Keep in mind that you are going to be there for just a couple of days. Surely, you could live without having to watch movies on your HDTV gizmo. Cell phones are okay since they might come in handy in emergency situations. But keep in mind that you want to maximize your time in solitude.
Always water and spill proof everything that you're going to bring. Two layers of plastic covers are nice but you can always add more for a better protection. Wrap fragile things with something that would serve as a cushion. That way, it will not break easily just in case you dropped it.
These are just some of the things that could help people make their outdoor trip less stressful. And again, remember that you are there to relax and not to be more stressed than you already are.

Summer is upon us and what better way to spend our favorite time of the year than camping with the whole family, right? Although summer and camping can be quite synonymous with family fun, preparing for it can be quite an ordeal, especially for first-time outdoor campers. Like most activities, camping requires planning ahead. If necessary, make lists of the things that you must bring and the camp places as your options. Doing research on camping spots can help in securing a safer and more fun camping.
Here are some of the things that you should bring to the campsite. Although it's not necessary that they be expensive, what's important is that you can rely on their quality and performance. Of course, what is camping without the tent and your sleeping gear. Be sure to bring everything you need to build the tent and everything that can make your stay safe and comfortable. Bring your flash lights, batteries, matches, firewood, and fire extinguisher. Bring sufficient clothing like shirts, jeans and shorts, boots, swimsuit, sneakers, and sandals. Also, bring necessary equipments for cooking, utility tools, and items for entertainment. Needless to say, one of these entertainment items is the camcorder. I mean, what good is the experience without something to record it?

While you swamp your weekday schedule with works, you should keep your weekends for family activities. So free yourself from too much work and have fun with your kids. Remember, kids change and grow up really fast. Your best chance to become a parent is now!
Camping is one of the best ways to bond with your family. More than you know a lot of kids love and enjoy this outdoor activity whether it is done at your backyard or at a nice camping site. Camping offers you plenty of possibilities. It gives you time to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature especially at camping parks. More than anything else, you'll bond and learn more about your kids. Nothing excites kids more except parents who willingly spend time with them in activities they enjoy such as camping. Of course, treating your kids to a nice camping site would be one of the best affectionate gestures you'll show to your kids.

Maybe it's not the time of the year to go camping but you're itching for some outdoor adventure than anytime is the best time do camping. Whether you're alone or with the family, an RVer or a tent camper, choosing for the best campground ain't that hard. You can choose between public and private campgrounds. Nonetheless, there are rules and regulations that you have to follow.
Public campgrounds can include wildlife parks and open forests. Although you wouldn't find amenities here, public campgrounds are better in that the ambiance is unadulterated. There are no pools, playgrounds, restaurants, no technology of some sort. All you can find are beautiful sceneries hiking trails, wildlife, mountains which are perfect backgrounds for your camcorder. And they're much cheaper.
While, private campgrounds offer a lot of amenities and recreational activities. You can even have the luxury of a hot bath or sumptuous gourmet food. When it comes to security, private campgrounds are better guarded than private campgrounds. Of course, since they are private that means you would have to pay something although it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Now, you choose.

Camping tents come in various sizes and shapes. Moreover, selecting the right tent depends on your family's needs. As such, the appropriate tent for you may not necessarily be the ideal one for another family. If you're shopping for a camping tent for your family, here are some factors that you must consider.
Size is definitely one of the tent features that matter. Choose a size that would not only accommodate, but would also provide enough comfort for those who would be sleeping inside. Although there are tents that could contain more than four persons, it is more advisable to limit the number of users to only two or three. Another is the shape. Tents come in 4 basic shapes namely: wall, geodesic or dome, umbrella, and A-frame. Each of these types suits a specific need.
Finally, consider the weather conditions before shopping for a camping tent. The cold, heat, sun, and rain all require different things. As such, considering the weather conditions would help you choose the right size, shape, fabric, number or type of poles, and other features of a tent.

I love to bring my portable video recorder with me when I go camping. On the trip to the campsite, my friends and I would imitate Alanis Morissette's video on the song Ironic. We would put the car's radio and my recorder on full volume and sing our lungs out.
On the campsite, I would take photos with my video recorders' digital camera. At night, I'd record the stories and laughter we share or just watch the shows I keep on my recorder. Then at dinner time, when they're cooking, I'd play some of my favorite sons on my MP3 player. My portable video recorder makes our camping trips so much fun.

I love the outdoors! I spend my weekends swimming in the beach, trekking mountains or camping near the lake. I would rather commune with nature than go to clubs. I record all my outdoor adventures using my portable video recorder.
I love watching my videos over and over. Sometimes my friends and I would joke around the bonfire and I would have it all on a short film. Sometimes we would try to find out if ghosts or monsters are real and laugh about it later. Whatever we do, I make sure I have it on video. It a good ice-breaker when I'm having a dinner party at home. That is, if I'm not out in the woods.

Policemen have been using a video camera in their police cars for nearly a decade. It helps them record any highway or street apprehension of an individual. The video camera usually captures situations where a cop pulls to a stop a drunk driver or while chasing a suspect down the road. Portable video camera on police cars helps create substantial evidence against an offender in case of court trials. It also helps monitor police men, so they don’t harass or corrupt civilians.
