Didn't you ever wish you can press stop and rewind so you can catch your favorite show on TV? With TiVo, all these are possible. You never have to miss your favorite sports game and primetime show just because you weren't able to make it home on time. TiVo will record them for you, so TV viewing can be at your full convenience.
What is TiVo?
The two smart men behind TiVo are Jim Barton and Mike Ramsay. Their initial plan was to create a home network device but ended up introducing a new technology for digitizing video using a hard disk. From Teleworld, the company became known as TiVo, Inc. TiVo was first tested in public in the San Francisco Bay area in 1998. Giving viewers the ability to pause, rewind, and record their favorite shows on TV, TiVo became a hit. Today, the service is not only available in the US, but also in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and the UK. The service is available through subscription.
TiVo as a source of entertainment
TiVo is dubbed as one of the world's best DVR. Well, who could imagine that there would soon be a time when we can easily control live and recorded shows in a few strokes? No need to worry about your favorite show changing its time slot, or missing an episode or any famous line by award-winning actors, as you can always go for instant replays or play it in slow motion. If you're about to make dinner or take a quick shower, all you have to do is press the button for pause. You don't have to go search for your own world of entertainment elsewhere, because it's right in your home with TiVo. Other neat features include quick search through titles, actors, categories, and keywords. Scheduled recordings are also a possibility for your PC or phone. If you want to exert parental control, you can easily do so through its KidZone features. Have the power to choose the best programs for your kids.
TiVo also reserves a room for connectivity and expansion. With TiVo's wireless adapter, you can easily get connected to a wireless home network and enjoy movie, music, photo downloads, and more. Also worth checking out are its nifty additions like the My DVR Expander and the TiVo Glo remote control.

Canon DC20 cam is light and sexy because of its slim body and easy-handling quality. It is best for my outgoing personality because I can bring it anywhere I go; like if I travel to France or Germany, I bring my Canon camcorder with me along with my flexible Sony tripod. If you're wondering why I use Sony tripod while I have a Canon camcorder, it's because the tripod is just a gift from a friend.
The best part is its 2.2 Megapixel resolution that allows you to record a real widescreen video and photo. You can record straight to DVD with Canon DC20 DVD because it includes a 3" DVD-R and 3" DVD-RW-based camcorder. It has an advanced photo functionality and a hi-speed USB 2.0. It also contains an Electronic Image Stabilizer and 10x optical zoom with built-in lens cap. All features are especially created for a better quality video record.
I love Canon products, from digicams to camcorders, because everything is set with high technology. Everything is for everyone - from the thrifty to the spender. They have products that are especially made for those who have enough budget for a gadget or a device, and they have products that are for luxurious spenders. Me, I belong to the middle class. I sometimes spend more money on my Canon gadgets than on my food. But sometimes I also practice saving. (That's always optional).

If you want a rock 'n roll film like the Munich Massacre or a real-world situation film like the mind-boggling United 93, the only secret in making these films is to look at the world. What do you see? Look at this side of the world where Beirut airport has been bombed, Quana has been exploded, Lebanese border where children have been throwing stones at the Israeli soldiers. This is the time that we must preserve. So, set your recorders up for these exciting moments.

This recorder is long lasting and perfect for any world event. It has a metallic silver or blue front. It also has a DVD player, so you can record any moment and play DVDs as well. Its remote control's perfect for you if you're a lazy person. This recorder has also a security feature that requires pin number that only you can provide. You can also use this recorder as a mirror of your life and surroundings. If you want to see reality, just use this Aiwa recorder.

Get an Aiwa HVFX8700 now and start your film by recording events. Be as expressive and resourceful as you can. You can even make a compilation of different events and news like two soldiers being captured, an airport being attacked, old women crying, lost children, blood, blood, and more blood to make it really fascinating. After recording, you can call up your friends, family, or neighbors to watch how the whole world struggles from cruelty.

If Count Dracula will have a career as a filmmaker, he'll choose the Sony Handycam DCR-HC20. This bloody camera is a portable camcorder that won't bite his credit cards. The $300 machine measures 3.5 by 2 by 4.5 inches (HWD). The 2.5" Liquid Crystal Display is clear compared to its contemporaries that have bloodstains on their screens. He'll like Sony because it will fit comfortably in his wings, and the controls are on the right places. It's so light he can put it in his cloak or his pouch bag and bring it anywhere he flies.
It delivers good video images as long as he won't use excessive lighting, or else every image or scene he captures will become a bit blurry. I doubt it if Count will use lighting in his set. The camcorder and Count Dracula are compatible with each other: they hate bright lights, and they can work in the dark using the camcorder's night mode.
The 10x optical zoom is quite poor compared to other camcorders that reach up to 20x. But that's enough for him. He won't be needing a wider zoom range and get garlic-like images in return. I'm not quite sure if he can use this model to transfer his VHS films to DVDs because the package doesn't include a FireWire.

Sex scandal bombards almost every form of multimedia. Newspapers, magazines, radio, high definition television, DVDs, and the Internet have had articles or video clippings about celebrities, politicians, soldiers, policemen, and ordinary citizens doing something that should only be done in private. Unfortunately for these good-for-nothing sons of a #&$%^, these clippings are caught on tape and broadcasted for public entertainment. Serves them right for giving in to their desires easily.
Now, I'm not encouraging you to watch sex scandals at home, okay? The effects may vary from one person to another, depending on the amount of videos they've watched and the level of obscenity contained in them. As for me, I consider these flicks as inspirations whenever I write children's books. Anyway, for those fucking perverts fascinated about these sexually-uplifting videos, and excited about creating their own, I suggest that you use the PV-DV103 camcorder by Panasonic. It is the cheapest digi camcorder in the market today. It employs MiniDV tapes to digitally record scenes.
I think it also has a FireWire port so you can connect it easily on your laptop to edit the scenes. Expert's advice: Never tell your partner that you're recording your steamy bed scenes for profit-oriented purposes. If ever she notices the camera mounted on your wall. Tell her some stupid stuff like the machine is a surprise gift for her.

Aptly called the Super Slim camcorder from Canon, the Canon DC100 breaks into the market with a bang. It's a DVD camcorder packed with slew of features that would make you go buy it at the drop of a hat. Its capable of recording right into a DVD disc of up to 60 minutes of terrific DVD-quality mini-movies, so that is a plus factor for convenience.
Another draw to this product is the 25x optical zoom and 1000x digital zoom capability. That said, you'll never have to miss even the smallest details. It even has an image stabilizer that lets you shoot videos smoothly minus the jitters and jerks. While the Smooth Zoom Control functionality, again gives smooth effects by removing any rapid zooms that can cause dizzying effects on your videos. Plus a built-in lens cover, that could prove useful for people who ignore protection for their lens.
It can record sound using a Dolby Digital stereo and comes with a widescreen high-resolution 16:9 recording. If you have no idea how that one works than imagine watching a full-screen movie right in your plasma High Definition TV. If that doesn't sound amazing, I don't know what.

There's always a hot new stuff in the digital market for gizmos and gadgets. I'm itching to get a hand on this one--
SONY DSC-N1 Silver 8.1MP Digital Camera. Whooo, I'd love to bring it home to mama!
I don't know about you but as soon as I saw this great cam, I fell in love at first sight. It is oh so sleek and cool! Actually, my cousin Sam had one. He even showed me the model specifications. And I'm giving you my first-rate reviews.
It produces good quality for images. The shots are incredible, you don't even have to be a professional. It's easy and efficient to use. Snap, snap and snap! And pictures come out real good. For me that's first in mind. What's a great camera if you don't know how to use it?
I also like the bright flash and the paint program where you can print over the picture as well as the slide show features. It is fast small though it puts on some weight. Otherwise, it's A-ok for me.
Well, I just wish that it has an easier mode for light adjustments to have a better view of the images and a smaller LCD. But that will be just a small price to pay. For $399.99, I don't think you'll regret it if you've got the taste and the flair for photography.

The new Panasonic VDR-D300 departs from the usual DVD camcorder by carrying three CCD sensors. Usual camcorders rely on just a single CCD sensor. The VDR-D300 has three for each primary color. This being so it can capture strong and accurate colors and fine details as possibly as it can. This $800 USD camcorder, comes with nifty features that are as exciting as its appearance.
It makes use of 3" DVD miniDiscs for recording and capable of storing 30 and 70 minutes of video on each. If you're tired doing short films try capturing still pictures for a change, store them in a SD card using an unmatched resolution of 3.1 megapixels. It fits with comfort in my hand and weighs a mere 21 ounces. It's a digital wonder with its joysticks that navigate menus with ease. It also has an extensive manual control that allows users to use the options they desire without loosing grip.
The camcorder may be excelling in the appearance factor but it's performance is not left behind. When it comes to shooting performance, the great thing about its three CCD sensors is that it captures real colors. But I hate to say that it's not all good on low-lighting conditions. But overall, this is a great purchase,I just hope it came with a bargain price.

When I finally decided that it's time to upgrade my old camcorder with a new one, I though of going for another Sony. But when my eyes landed on this shiny new camcorder from Panasonic, I told myself that it has to be mine. So there I went home happily albeit with empty pockets. At first glance the Panasonic PV-GS35, was all perfect with its handsome features. But the biggest factor is its 30x zoom function. If you think that a 10x zoom is better then wait till you see the effect of zooming an image 30 times. That's getting you closer to the action.
It's very small and at the same time its ease of use made me think that I should have bought this last year when it first came out. It even has a webcam capability. I think it's just one of those features that desperately wants to get your attention. But I think webcam didn't convince me like the zooming power did. Let's go to the meaty part. While the looks may impress you, the video pictures taken with this camcorder will excite you even more. It takes good videos even in low lighting conditions. Has a built-in light, a built-in microphone and has an excellent battery performance. I surely had my moneys' worth.

Who says big things come in small packages? This cliché might not be what it really means when you've seen the Canon DC40 DVD. Compared to its little sister, the Canon DC20, this Canon camcorder is a quite bigger gadget. Now it's safe to say that bigger is better. This new addition to the Canon camcorder family is pretty striking in a lot of ways. It supports an in-camera video editing and allows users to instantly playback their projects through a DVD player. Although, it brags of a bigger size, like all the other Canon camcorders, it sports an ultra-slim and compact design.
Canon has equated the capacity of the DC40 with high-quality resolution images by fusing together the RGB Primary Color Filter and a CCD image sensor (4.4 megapixels). It has a superb 10 times optical zoom and a 2.7" widescreen display. Using an editing software for Canon, the My DVD, it's so easy to make gazillion copies of your mini-movies through a single tough of the button. If you're tire of your usual videos, then try taking still pictures for a change.

Need a shift from your old video recorder? Today, technology provides us with the most unconventional devices that make our lives fairly easier. I say unconventional because they're considered new technologies and maybe if one has invented them a century ago then he might even be considered a mad scientist. But kidding aside, digital video camcorders have surely gone a long way. Now camcorders are competing in terms of size, image quality, and even affordability. It will make a buyer go gaga what to choose. But with the Canon Elura 80 camcorder, all you have to do is pay for it and bring it home.
For capturing those special events in your life, you need a camera that not only provide you with nifty features it should also be cost-effective. The size, well, it fits right into your palm. The Elura is that small. But didn't you learn from your mom that big things come in small package. She actually meant this camcorder from Canon. It's packed with an image sensor, convenient controls, 18 times optical zoom and other equally satisfying features. With its stream-lined design, you will be expecting a lot of digital eye-candy from its shell to its LCD display. Looks can never be deceiving when it's from Canon.

Are you in the search for that ideal companion that can keep up with your always on-the-go-lifestyle? When it comes to capturing important moments in our lives, mobility is important. This is because you have to anticipate what will happen next, otherwise you'll end up missing an important shot.
When I first got a glimpse of the Samsung Miniket VP-XIIOL Sports Cam, i though to myself that it looks more like an mp3player rather than a camcorder, but I was surprised that it's more than just a camcorder. It works as a camera, video recorder, voice recorder, data storage device, web cam, and guess what I was right it's also an mp3 player. It's just the perfect multi-functional widget that can withstand the harshest of any conditions. Would you believe that this small camcorder is weather-resistant?
If only these features could kill, but wait here's more4e for the Miniket. Sports camcorder is a very apt description of this lightweight device. You can mount it on your helmet when your doing your thing with your snowboard or better yet use it when you're skydiving. Simply the best multi-tasking camcorder I have seen in years.

First of all, let me clear things out for you - I am blind, and yet I find myself in a situation wherein I am forced to give information on something that I very much know of, yet lack the credibility my sanity holds for you to believe in what I have to say about video recorders - just to get rid of the damn cliche involving videos and blind persons. I, for one, believe that analog video cameras provide a more subtle and quality audio listening experience than a digital video camera. But neither does digital video recorders give more of a quality video viewing experience than an analog one.
How did I come to know the latter statement amidst my impairment? The former statement, that of analog video cameras providing a more subtle and higher quality audio listening experience than digital video recorders, is rather obvious. For the latter statement, there's this feeling of nostalgia I get whenever I watch, or view, videos and photos captured using an analog video camera or an analog still camera, which I don't get by viewing digital videos, more so digital photos.
Upon talking to my visual artist friends, I have learned that they know exactly what I mean! Being photo editors using professional photo editing applications, as well as video editors and video buffs, they have explained what it was all about. It's all about texture, and analog video cameras or analog still cameras produce softer and smoother textures than digital video recorders and digital still cameras.

The guys at Canon made it sure that users don't only look good in front of their camcorder but also behind it. Here's a stylish camcorder that will certainly get you shouting for more. With its minimalist design; this camcorder might be garnering style awards just like people are raving with the iPod.
The first time I saw this product over the Internet, I told myself " Is this all it?" But I was wrong, very wrong. Never underestimate this simple looking gadget 'coz it's anything but simple. This camcorder is packed with nifty features that are as tempting as its appearance.
This lightweight camcorder uses 2.2 megapixels for superior video clarity, an optical zoom that let's you zoom in 10x the normal image and Eight Scene modes. It also has a built-in video light that helps you shoot in the dark, a built in microphone and the integrated Mini SD card that's great for capturing still photos. And mind you, it does come with a very reasonable price. Simply Perfect-- are the words that best describe this small and light Canon camcorder.

Yes, portability has developed in leaps rather than steps. Nowadays, its fairly easy to walk around and check your mails, read the news, talk with friends, play an electronic game, and even shoot videos. With mobile camera phones, you can now reach those depths, or heights, without carrying a bulky video camera that weighs more than the food you need for such a trip!
New models of Nokia and Samsung mobile phones are equipped with a built-in video camera which can grant your wishes for a clear image and good digital audio recording quality. If your mobile phone is equipped with a memory card slot, then you should go and get the memory card with the largest storage capacity. This would allow you to record hours and hours of videos.
In addition, Nokia 6600 s60 mobile camera phones have the best resolution quality to offer its users. It's series 60 phones are Symbian-operated, thus providing you with a large selection of applications. So be it games, photo applications, camcorder programs, or even digital music players, you got it all in one small package.

Take your movie recording to an all new level with the 128MB GoGear Digital Camcorder from Philips. This lightweight camera recorder lets you make your own 25-minute short movie using its MPEG4 video. You can also take 200 2.0 megapixel pictures. It also has an MP3 function, so you can listen to your favorites songs anywhere you go.
Some of the important features of the GoGear Digital Camcorder are a 60 grams lightweight magnesium body. It's so small that you can wear it anywhere you go without hassle. It comes with an external battery pack and a direct battery recharge via USB. It's a user friendly gadget that let's you share your multimedia files with a computer using a USB. The resolution is pretty good with natural light; however, do not use this at night time. It's not a good idea to take your pictures in the dark using this one.
However, to cope with this downside, the GoGear has a Microdisplay viewfinder that lets you get a good frame of your subject and review your masterpieces. Overall, it's so small yet so efficient. Everything from a digital camera, video recorder, and an MP3 player is in this gadget.

Enjoy great outdoor activities or even record your most unforgettable moments with JVC GR-D270. JVC once again created a handy camera that will let its users take still pictures or make short films. If you want to experience film making like that of a professional, then let your creativity and imagination work as you discover the director in you.
Worry no more about unsatisfactory video recording. This camcorder allows up to twenty five percent images zooming for better highlighting of close-up shots. It has a clear liquid crystal display that guarantees fewer reflections so users will be able to see their subjects as clearly as possible. JVC integrated a soft touch button on the camcorder that allows its user to access the battery status as well as the time of recording on the monitor. The battery, on the other hand, lasts for almost two hours – enough time to record short films.

I consider the ireStore FS-4 Portable DTE Recorder by Canon as the video camera of the future. The gadget is unlike any other video cameras being sold in the market in the sense that you record videos without worrying on transferring the files to your Windows or Mac computer machines. Now, have you heard such amazing technology before? I didn't think so.
With the Canon handycam, you can easily connect it to your home computer and transfer the files. As such, you do not have to spend so much time converting files from one format to another, transferring them, and saving them in your PC. This process is all possible because of the recorder's Direct To Edit or DTE technology. I believe that Canon is the first company to have this advanced technology.
What I really like about this video camera is that you do not have to spend a lot of money when you are making movies, documentaries, and others. The reason for this is that it eliminates the need to use tapes when shooting your videos. Despite that, the quality is still there with your images and sound. In fact, the captured images are clearer and have more vivid details with the ireStore FS-4.

When it comes to video recorders, there are only a few brands that I really trust to give me products with the highest quality. One of these is the Sony Corporation, makers of electronic gadgets such as televisions, CD players, portable music players, and others. When I buy any of these gadgets, I can be really sure that every cent I spend on will be all worth it.
Sony Corporation is also one of the best manufacturers of handy cameras because they keep on improving their technology with every product they release. One good example is the Sony DCR-HC26 MiniDV handycam. This is packed with superb and amazing features for your everyday use.
The Sony DCR-HC26 is the gadget that has the advanced HAD™ CCD image, the feature that is responsible for shooting clear images with vivid details. It also has the digital zoom that makes possible hi-quality images even when you zoom what you are shooting subjects from a great distance. If you ask me, this is the perfect gadget to capture memorable moments during your family travels. It can endure heavy trips such as hiking mountains, fishing trips, and other outdoor activities.

Just recently, Sony, the leader in camcorders, launched it new creation. It is called the DCR-DVD405. This new Sony camcorder is the follow-up to its predecessor, the DVD403. Sony added features, and did some minor modifications for this new model. Contrary to what buyers expect, the price of DVD405 is lower than other Sony camcorders. The manufacturers thereof gave careful attention to the quality of images, as well as the convenience of using such device.
The DVD405 features ease in zoom control. This can be achieved by entering the P-menu, a screen in liquid crystal display that contains four buttons that enables the user to format DVDs, control the noise or volume, set the date and time, and finalize the disc before recording. Sony provided the users a manual of control for convenient and easy navigation of the menus. One of the coolest add-ups in DVD405 is the touch screen that enables the users to measure the depth of focus and lighting.
The current models of Sony camcorders offers alternatives for filmakers and travellers. Its designs are often compact and have a wide variety of features which make Sony camcorders the most flexible ones.

Have the power to capture sharp images and superb sound with the new Sony DCR-DVD505. This is unlike any ordinary handycam you might be familiar with because it already uses DVD to shoot and record your images. For me, this is the gadget to use when you are making low-budgeted movies, documentaries, or anything you have in mind.
This type of hi-tech portable gadget comes with the latest technology of Sony called clear photo liquid crystal plus. This makes it possible for you to clearly view your shot images even with the presence of the bright sunlight. Aside from that, the handycam also has a clear-bit CMOS sensor that is responsible for shooting clear and vivid images.
If these two advanced features of the Sony DCR-DVD505 are not enough for you, then there is still the smooth and slow video recording. You have the option to use this for special effects like capturing the flight of the birds or a speeding a race car that is slow motion. With this video camera, you do not have to worry about overloading your memory with too much video clips. If you want to record more, you can just buy its memory stick to save your shot videos.

Only one word comes to my mind when I see the HDR-FX1 camcorder by the Sony Corporation, and it is none other than WOW. It just looks so much like a professional handy camera. Whenever I hold it, I feel like a real director who is filming a big-budgeted movie. I think it is the coolest feeling I have ever experienced in my life.
I'm sure you will also feel the same way I do when you get to see one of these hi-tech portable cameras. Its exterior looks so stylish in all black. However, its best qualities are not found on the outside, but on its inside. Beneath its casing is some of the most advanced technology which can be found in video cameras.
This camera is composed of a 1080i video recording that really has a high-definition, and even a 12x optical zoom. As a result, videos shot with this gadget are all so clear and vivid. The quality of its sound is also superb and easy to understand. These features are the things that I am really looking for in a camera, and I found it with the Sony HDR-FX1.

Canon has once again gone beyond the borders of typical video cameras with their new Elura 100. Just by hearing its name, you would definitely understand that this portable gadget has been made to reach perfection. It's true because of all the amazing features present in this small gadget.
You must know that the Elura 100 is so advanced for its time, yet it is so easy and simple to use. One reason for this is that its control buttons are so accessible when you are holding the camcorder. Aside from that, it gives the best and quality videos and even still images. If you really think about it, it is a camcorder and hi-tech digital camera in one gadget.
This is a device that is best to use when you are on your adventurous hiking trip or any outdoor activity. It is easy to capture the beauty of nature with its level shot, smooth zoom, easy focus, vivid colors, superb sound, and other important features. When you have the Elura 100 camcorder by Canon, you already have the best technological device you can carry around wherever you go.
