Sure, we've done
rock climbing in Sydney, we've surfed the tides of Waikiki and even jumped off the cliff in Ontario, but are those adrenaline-rush-moments caught on film? Or better yet a camcorder. I bet you have one at home, but your drawer is not the best place for it. Taking your camcorder to your adventures is a must. Without it, it's like going to battle without any armory. And please be sure that it's not heavy.
Why do you need a camcorder when traveling? For the simple reason that it might just be the last time you'll be doing it or maybe the first and last time to travel to that location. Might as well capture it on video, right?
When using the camcorder be sure to put yourself in the picture or video for that matter. Most video cameras now have
flip-out LCD screens that you can swivel to view yourself while your shooting. When shooting a series of events, use the fade out button to have a seamless video. If its possible, use a tripod. If not you can use a make-shift tripod so you can take steady shots. Lastly, bring enough blank tape or CD's. You'll never know what's ahead.
